Our goal
We have focused everything on precision agriculture, which has allowed us to target interventions and be able to respond to actual crop needs by reducing the use of natural resources, such as water for irrigation, and increasing production efficiency. Making this approach possible has been a massive investment in technologies that rely on the use of data and automation, from advanced sensor technology to autonomous driving to smart vehicles. The management and monitoring of agricultural activities, are the main focus of smart farming, which uses big data, IoT or the cloud, to streamline processes and promote supply chain integration. Included in the positive impact on the supply chain are actions for a sustainable supply chain, related to the dissemination of best practices but also the verification of product safety.

This sector contributes significantly to the Italian economy, with a contribution that has been consolidated in recent years. Not to mention that Italy is first in Europe in terms of added value and third in terms of production value. It is a sector that is going through profound transformations, which go hand in hand with major challenges on a global scale such as sustainability. The transition to a circular economy is a key driver of development, growth and competitiveness for companies in the food sector and is among the priorities outlined in the Next Generation EU strategic plan.
